ODUDUWA NEWS had reported how a Magistrate Court ordered a remand of Baale of Ilua community in Saki-West Local Government area of Oyo state, Chief Kilani Azeez Ajani.
Today, the Chief has been released to return to reunite with his family having met with the bail conditions given to him by the court.
Recall that the traditional Chief as well as five others were remanded in Abolongo prison in Oyo Town.
They were alleged of assaulting Barrister Waheed Lawal, in Saki.
The chief while speaking with newsme, on Friday confirmed he has been released from custody after he has met with bail conditions.
He thanked the people of Saki and other well-wishers for their prayers and support in the ongoing trial.
When asked to speak on the ongoing trial, he said the matter is before a competent court adding that he will not speak on a matter before a court.
His words: “Yes, I’m back home in Saki. I have met the bail conditions given by the court and I have been granted bail. I want to thank the good people of Ilua community, Saki West local government area and well-wishers for their supports and prayers. May Allah bless everyone.
“Sorry, I don’t want to speak on a matter before a competent court of law. The case is before the court, let’s allow the court to decide. Thanks.
“If leaders and elders in Saki call for a peaceful resolution on the matter. I’m ready to honour the invitation and arrangement. As a community chief, I’m in support of anything that will bring peace and harmony.”
