The Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Atiku Abubakar has told Governor Makinde that it will not be possible to remove the national chairman of the party, Iyorcha Ayu unless the constitution of the party is changed and restructured.

Atiku made this disclosure today at an interactive session held in Ibadan with PDP party members and stakeholders across Southwest.

Makinde had earlier asked publicly that Atiku Abubakar should ensure the unification of the party by ensuring that party chairman, Iyorcha Ayu steps aside.

In his reply, Atiku said, “the party is supreme and has its guiding constitution which must be followed strictly before embarking on any step to restructure the party.

“What Gov Makinde requested for is achievable but it must be followed with guiding principles and constitution of the party”, said Atiku.
