The debate on who should represent the good people of Osun West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, 10th Assembly has been put to rest the moment Dr. Akogun ‘Lere Kamorudeen Oyewumi hoisted the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) flag of the Senatorial District.

It should be put on record that being a former Council Chairman of Irewole Local Government, his contribution to the development of the council remains unbeatable till today.
He is the brain behind light up Irewole, and was responsible for why many houses today in the city have electricity, through distribution of Transformers to all the nook and cranny in Ikire, which are still in good use till today.

Dr. Lere Oyewumi is also a one time Chairman of National Population Commission, during his time in Office, he facilitated employment for young people both in Federal Parastatals and State Agencies.
The mass entry of Irewole indigenes into Immigration, Custom and Federal Characters can be traced to him.

Having said all these, if given the chance to represent us at a National level, we have no doubt that he will do more than what he has done while holding previous offices.

A vote for Chief Lere Oyewumi is a vote for development, employment opportunities, youth engagement, access to affordable health care both by the young and aged among others.

Come February 25th next year, let’s come out enmass to support the man of the people.

Idagbasoke Osun West, loje wa logun.
