It has just been confirmed to Oduduwa News that at the plenary held today at the Oyo State House of Assembly, the Honourable Members unanimously agreed to confirm the appointment of Barr. Lateef Oyeleke as the Commissioner for Environment to replace Late Kehinde Ayoola who died some months ago.

The name of the Nominee was sent by Governor Seyi Makinde to the House on the 6th of August, 2020 but the House was unable to confirm the nomination in the last sitting on the grounds that the Nominee should bring his credentials to the House for proper scrutiny and to be screened accordingly.

His confirmation was followed by a motion raised by Honourable Arole to allow the Nominee to take a bow and go and seconded by Honourable Adedibu Akeem from Iwajowa State Constituency. In reactions to the motion, some honourable members, while commending the Nominee asked him some salient questions pertaining to his area of specialization and designation.
