Gov Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN has yesterday inaugurated the first Governing Board of Ondo state office of Public Defender.
Before the Governor appointed the board members, the agency has no Governing Board since it was created 17 years ago. The Agency is saddled with protection of the fundamental Human rights of citizens of Ondo state, particularly the indigent, weak and vulnerable people.
The Governor also unveiled the first pocket Law (Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) published by Ondo state Law Commission. Before now the photocopy of the gazzette was being sold at N2500.
