Nigerian Association of Macroeconomic Modellers (NAMM) to Host 3rd Annual International Hybrid Conference
Ibadan, Nigeria beginning from November 27-28, 2024.
The Nigerian Association of Macroeconomic Modellers (NAMM) has invited the public to its 3rd Annual International Hybrid Conference, themed “Macroeconomic Modelling & Data Science for Socio-Economic Development.
This statement was made known yesterday at a press briefing held at the University of Ibadan by the duo of President and Vice President of the Asssociation, Prof. Philip Alege and Prof. O. E. Olubusoye who is also the Local Organizing Chairman NAMM 2004.
“The conference will be held from November 27-28, 2024, at the Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Nigeria at 10am daily. This year’s conference will bring together leading academics, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advancements in macroeconomic modelling and data science. The conference will feature keynote addresses, plenary sessions, panel discussions, and workshops on a wide range of topics, including:
- Data quality and macroeconomic modelling
- Fiscal, monetary, and financial policy strategies
- Energy transition, climate change, and the environment
- Global macroeconomic shocks and the developing countries
- Commodity market and price shocks
- Macroeconomic modelling for economic policy coordination.
