Itesiwaju Council Chairman Swears In Secretary, Urges Effective Service Delivery

The Chairman of Itesiwaju Local Government, Hon. Monsur Olayemi Ojo has sworn in Hon. Monsur AbdulAzeez Muhammad Sefiu Blade as the new Secretary to the Council.

While performing the swear in ceremony, the Council Boss urged the Secretary to prioritize effective service delivery in order to promote the progress of the local government.

The swearing in ceremony was held at the Local Government Secretariat.

The Council Boss also stressed the need for the political appointees to key into vision of Governor Seyi Makinde in bringing dividends of democracy closer to the people at the grassroot.

Hon Olayemi while commending the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for his uncommon character and ingenuity in piloting the affairs of the state eulogised him for appointing credible and competent person as the secretary of the council in person of TP Abdul Azeez Mohammadu Sefiu Alade.

Hon Olayemi while speaking at the occasion reiterated that career officers are partners in progress, whose efforts can make or mar any administration and as such urged the newly sworn in Secretary to work closely with career officers.

Hon. Olayemi urged the newly sworn in secretary to see his appointment as a clarion call to serve the people of Itesiwaju Local Government and not a particular section or a particular town of the council.

He stressed that the appointment of Alhaji Abdul azeez, Alade is an indication of the level of trust and confidence people have in him, he therefore admonished him not to betray people’s trust.

According to him, the newly sworn in secretary should bring to bear his wealth of experience as a technocrat with clear vision and innovation to move the council forward.

Hon Olayemi also highlighted salient issues that can hinder the success of the administration and urged the council secretary to respect the sanctity of togetherness.

Vice Chairman Itesiwaju Local Government Hon Ayangbade Peter appreciated Engr Seyi Makinde, Senator Hosea Ayoola,Hon Dayo Ogungbenro and Hon Femi Awakan for their tremendous support and commitment to good governance.

The newly sworn in secretary Itesiwaju Local Government TP Abdul azeez mohammadu sefiu Alade while speaking with newsmen promised to live up to expectation in the discharge of his duties.

Among the party leaders who graced the occasion were the Leader of the House Hon. Soliu Mutairu, Chief of staff Hon Ogunlade Adewale,Hon Joshua Oyewumi Adegbiji,Dr Lateef Ajibike,Mrs Fabiyi Folashade and Deputy Director of Administration and General Services Mr Felix Onatunji who administered oath of office to the council secretary on behalf of the council head of local government ,NSCDC corps and NOA among others.
